Description

RS485-ISO is a device designed to safeguard RS485 communication lines from voltage spikes or transients, which can occur due to lightning strikes, electrical interference, or other surges.

RS485-ISO provides three stages of protection for maximum safety.  The first stage is a gas discharge tube. The second stage is a series of protection resistors. The third stage is 600W Transient Voltage Suppressor (TVS).

Functionality
Surge Protection: Diverts excess voltage away from the RS485 devices to prevent damage.
Common Mode and Differential Mode Protection: Protects against both types of surges that can affect differential signal pairs.
